In the Foundation Stage 1 we learn through play. We access all the 7 areas of learning:

Throughout their year in F1 we assess the children against Development Matters. At the end of their year in F1 we assess the children against the 17 Early Learning Goals, where they will be either Emerging, Developing or Expected.
Our first topic this year asks the question 'Who is important to me?'. We will focus on colours and how we use colours and how we keep ourselves healthy.
