Reading your child's reading book is an enjoyable and rewarding experience for both you and your child. Please encourage your child to point to each word as they read and then as they become more confident in their letter and sound knowledge help them to segment the sounds and blend them together for each word. For example to work out how to read the word pat they would say, p-a-t, pat. For more information about how we pronounce letter sounds or if you have any questions regarding your child's reading, please do not hesitate to ask one of the team.
