To find key information in the text: The Ice Witch
In this lesson we are going to read about the Ice Witch together and find key information.
Science Week activity - Make an ice garden!
Today we are going to do an investigation as part of our Science Week activities. We will do one investigation today and one next week.
Today we are going to see if we can make an ice garden for the Ice Witch we have been learning all about in English. In this activity, you will produce beautiful ice gardens that develop your observations and stimulate your imagination! All you need is a variety of leaves, flowers and buds, water and a shallow container. Of course you will need access to a freezer to turn the water into ice! See the sheet in Teams for more detailed instructions. Have fun!
I would love to see your ice gardens when they have frozen so please send me a photograph when it is ready!
You must read your reading book every day, just as we do in school. We do this after lunch but you can do it whenever you like! An adult must sign your diary to show this has taken place. You can of course read some of your own books at home to supplement reading. It would be great if this could be recorded in your diary too.
