Below are some resources that might help with writing activities. The sound mat has all the sounds your child has been taught and will help with making good choices when spelling. The Common Exception words are harder to spell as phonics cannot always be used so I have included a list of these too. I have included an example of the handwriting style taught in school. Lower case letters should start from the line and if possible be joined. We have been working on this in class.

You must read your reading book every day, just as we do in school. We do this after lunch but you can do it whenever you like! An adult must sign your diary to show this has taken place. You can of course read some of your own books at home to supplement reading. It would be great if this could be recorded in your diary too.
