Funky Mummy!
Click on the picture below and choose a skill to practise for 10 minutes.
Y1: Compare mass
Y2: Count vertices on 3-D shapes
Today for phonics and spelling I would like you to practise the phase 3 and 5 graphemes including alternative pronunciations, the words in your Reading Challenge booklet and the spellings in your Spelling Challenge list. These are below in video format if you can't find your booklet or current spelling list. I have sent you a copy of the Spelling Challenge words in Teams for you to look at. Also, practise reading your Rising stars decodable book online. Click on the links below to work through these activities. These activities will take a while if done properly so there will be no English lesson today.
Reading Challenges
If you can't remember what challenge you are on, choose the challenge that is not too easy. Start from Challenge 3 and if that's too easy try 4 or 5. The idea is to eventually read words instantly. This will help you to become a fluent, speedy reader.
Grapheme cards
Click below to practise the phase 3 and 5 graphemes.
Alternative pronunciations
Click the girl below to practise the different ways we say the sounds.
Spelling Challenges
Click on the bee below to take you to the spelling challenge 'listen and spell' activities.
There is a link to the full list of words on that page matched to year groups if you can't remember what spelling challenge you are on.
Spooky Spellings
Click on the link below if you have finished Spelling Challenges 1-5. Find the words you are working on by clicking on the year group and then one of the books below. Rearrange the letters to spell the given word.
Science Week - Activity 2
Crunchy Architecture you can eat!
This might be an activity for the weekend if you don't have the ingredients at home today. If you happen to have some biscuits and some chocolate, why not investigate how to make some architecture you can actually eat using edible cement! See the sheet in Teams for instructions.
For the rest of the afternoon, play, have a rest, get things ready for school on Monday and give yourself a good pat on the back for working so hard every day to complete home learning tasks. I am really proud of you and cannot wait to see you back at school!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
