Welcome to Acorn Class!
We have places at Newstead Primary School Nursery for children, who are already 3 years old or will be turning 3 between now and September. If interested, please contact the school office for an application form.
Furthermore, we have an intake of new children every term. Your child will be able to begin nursery, the term after they turn 3. If you would like more information or to put their name down, please contact the school office.
This is our nursery class page where you can find lots of useful information about Acorn class.
Below, you will find information about what your child will be learning this half-term, when we will be asking the question "What lives in the jungle?"
Here are a few reminders of what nursery children will need during a typical week in Acorn class:
Monday is Muddy Monday - Please ensure your child either brings a pair of wellies to nursery on this day or has them in school already. They also need warm clothing.
Wednesday - We change library books on this day, so please ensure they have their book bag containing their old library book and reading diary.
If you have had the Story Sack the following week, could you please send it back on a Wednesday also?
Thursday - This is P.E. day, so nursery children can attend wearing comfortable, sports wear and trainers. If possible, the trainers need to be velcro-fastened, in order for the children to practice putting their own trainers and socks on themselves.
If you have any questions regarding any of these days, as always please message using our class dojo app or speak to a member of the nursery team in the morning or home time.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
