Elm Class
Welcome to Elm Class!
We have lots to look forward to this term! Our curriculum will have a Geography and History focus. In Geography, we will be learning about where we live, learning about our local area but also the United Kingdom. After half term, we will be learning all about Florence Nightingale and how her life has influenced ours today.
The story we will be studying over the next few weeks is, 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark' by Jill Tomlinson. We will be writing our own stories, set at night-time with a focus on describing characters.
We will continue to focus on phonics and handwriting, as a priority. We know the children work hard to practice these in school and it would be great to hear that they are doing this at home too!
