Welcome back to Willow Class! We are so excited to start this new spring term and can't wait to learn and have fun. We have lots to look forward to this term!
This term, our curriculum will have a Science (Understanding the world) focus.
In Science, the children will develop their understanding of how they have have 5 senses and how they use these to explore the world around them. We will spend time looking at our outdoor environment and exploring the seasonal changes. We will investigate how we can help the wildlife that visits our garden.
In English, We will look at the Author -Micheal Rosen and all his amazing stories.
We will focus on - We're going on a bear hunt. We will learn this story using actions to help us retell it independently. We will have lots of opportunities to retell through drama and small world play.
We will then create a new story and perform this top a new audience.
In phonics, we will continue to learn the letters that make up the alphabet and move into Phase 3. We will begin to use this knowledge to segment to spell simple words and phrases.
