The children celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in school on Thursday 26th May 2022.
They all made a superb effort to dress up in 1950's clothes for the day. During the morning, the children were in their classes learning all about what the jubilee is and why it is significant. They were also presented with a bookmark and a book all about Queen Elizabeth.
In the afternoon the children showed us a 'dance through the years' which they had been preparing with Miss Martin for several weeks. Each class had a chance to show off their section of the dance and then it was all put together as a whole school. We also had a tea party and the playground was set up with games children in the 50's would have played.
Below are some photographs from the day and a link that will take you to the video section of the website where you can watch the videos of the children dancing.
