The planning of our RE curriculum is through the agreed guidance for RE teaching in Nottinghamshire and Nottingham schools ‘Religious Education for All’. This sets out the framework for learning about religious and world-views until the 2026 -2027 academic year.

Withdrawing from child from Religious Education

In the UK, parents have a legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE) in state-funded schools, requiring a written request to the headteacher, though no reason is needed, with schools supervising the child but not necessarily providing alternative teaching.
