Elm Class

Welcome to Elm Class!

Over the next few weeks, we'll be answering the question, 'How different would my life be if I lived in Kenya?'.  We will look at Kenya's location using maps and globes, consider how its climate is different to ours, compare our school day to a typical one for a Kenyan child and learn about why and how people have a different diet.

In Design and Technology, we'll be learning all about fruit.  We'll learn how to peel it, chop it, core it; and most importantly, taste it!  All in preparation for our Showcase Task of designing and making a fruit salad.

In Religious Education, we will continue to learn all about different festivals and celebrations.  The children have found it interesting learning about different beliefs and cultures.  At the end of last half-term, they made their very own colourful Diva Lamps and at the end of this term, they will be using these and tasting traditional Diwali food, when we have our very own 'Celebration of Light'.

Important Information:
