To support our learning of 'Lifecycles', a parent has kindly donated Frogspawn to Acorn and Willow class. We will be observing their growth and keeping them safe in the hopes that they begin hatching into Tadpoles in 3 weeks time.
We also have hatched 'Water Dragons' in our class tank.
Feel free to pop into the Unit before a session to come and look..
Acorn and Willow would like to introduce to you our Foundation eggs. We are keeping them "cosy" and "safe" in our classroom incubator, keeping our fingers crossed that they soon hatch.
Please keep checking our class page for the latest updates.
Thank you for all your support over the last half term, it was a busy one travelling to Australia, Africa, America, China and stopping off in the United Kingdom.
We hope you enjoyed coming to our end of half term showcase, it was a very proud moment for all the staff and children to show you the fun things we get up to in school.
WB 12.11.2018 - Anti-Bullying Week.
This week in Acorn we have been reading 'The Rainbow Fish' to support national Anti-Bullying week. The children have been sharing stories about times that they have been kind to others both in their family and at school.
We have been getting crafty with sequins this week, to create our very own Rainbow Fish with shiny scales.
They are the most beautiful Rainbow fish in the entire ocean!
Week Beginning 5.11.2018
This week in Acorn we have been celebrating Diwali - The Festival of Light.
We have been learning the story of Prince Rama and Princess Sita and how the festival of Diwali began.
The children have been using their cutting skills to make paper lanterns.
Our pumpkins have been decorated and given the glitter treatment today. Those goggley eyes will definitely scare away a few Trick or Treaters.
Happy Halloween Acorns!
Halloween has come to Acorn class!
We have started decorating our pumpkins this week. Today we have painted them in lots of different colours. They look fantastic!! Even Mr Parkes commented on how good they look.
