British Sign Language is the main language of around 151,000 people in the UK! It has its own grammar and is a complete, natural language. BSL helps us connect with our deaf and hard-of-hearing friends and community members.

BSL uses two hands, unlike ASL (American Sign Language)
BSL is recognised as an official language in the UK
There are different regional signs, just like accents!
You can sign a joke, a poem, or even sing in BSL!
