The Life and Times of Henry VIII This term, our topic is all about Henry VIII and what life was like for people living in Tudor times . The children seem really excited about this topic already, so below are some websites that you might want to share together at home.
P.E. days this term continue to run on a Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure your child has the correct kit in school and have removed any jewellery.
Pine class's last swimming session will be on Friday May 2nd.
Homework The reading challenge will continue this term. The children should be reading at least three times each week. Some children have been doing this consistently over the last two terms and it has been wonderful to see them presented with a book of their choice as a reward. We would love to see more children from Pine class achieving this over the coming weeks, so please encourage them to get reading at home and sign their reading diary when they do.
The children will continue to recieve spellings every week that they will be tested on the following Wednesday.
Mathletics is also set every Tuesday, which the children must complete at home. If your child doesn't have access to the internet, they may attend the 'Mathletics Club' on a Thursday lunchtime, in order to complete their homework.
Should you have any problems or wish to discuss your children's work or progress, please pop in after school when we will be available to listen.
